LG&E and KU have come up with a way to reward you for improving the efficiency of your home appliances. According to their website, “When you consider how you use energy at home, up to 70 percent of your energy usage may be attributed to heating, cooling and appliances. If you plan to make upgrades in these areas, we want to help make these largest energy users even more affordable for you.” You could receive up to a $400 rebate!
In order to apply:
1. You must login to your online account and enter in the specific information of your new unit.
2. LG&E will then mail you an application which you will return with your proof of purchase.
3. After the application is received and approved, you will receive your rebate in about four weeks.
This rebate if valid on purchases made after November 9, 2011. Customers may apply for two HVAC system rebates during a 12-month period. A maximum of four rebates will be allowed per customer account. Please take advantage of this savings while you can. You will not only get the rebate to help offset your purchase, but your home will run more efficiently and the savings will add up in the long run.
